If you’re looking for a new car and came through the term electronic stability control, we got the basic information to help you get the proper knowledge in the car you’re buying.
Definition of terms
Electronic stability control (ESC)–also known as electronic stability program (ESP) or dynamic stability control (DSC)–is a system that keeps the vehicle on the right track on where the driver is going. That’s why when your car starts to change lanes that cause you to move away from your intended path, this system will stabilize you car to avoid loss of control, skidding, and fishtailing.
How does ESC work?
ESC depends on a series of sensors to detect the direction of the vehicle, position of the steering wheel, the speed at which you’re going, etc. This system activates automatically when it detects that the driver is losing control of its car. This onboard computer will generate individual brakes to one or more of the four wheels to help bring the car back on the driver’s intended direction.
ESC aids the driver to:
There are rising versions of this technology, but the truth is, they all have one basic function: to respond accordingly once loss of control is detected.
Quick tip: Ensure that the tires of you vehicle are properly inflated and in good condition. Likewise, have your brakes checked regularly and address any issues immediately.

If both outer treads are thinning out while the center part is thick, that is indicative that your tires are usually under inflated. Furthermore, under inflated tires become vulnerable to damage and side wall tears and wheel damage when you hit a pothole, crevice or large object on the road (like wood blocks or large metal reflectors).
Tire rubber cracks usually occur when tires are old, even when treads are thick. When you see this on your sidewall or treads, it is imperative that you change your tires lest they fall apart on a trip. This happens because all rubber products deteriorate in time. (We usually experience this when tires are about 7 years or older)
ALIGNMENT. It is prudent to do periodic checks on your tires. Just by looking at the treads and spotting for uneven wear from one side to the other can indicate suspension alignment issues. If the tread depth on one side is thinner than the other, it is a sure sign that you need to have your alignment corrected and it is reducing tire life. Another indication of alignment problems is when steering wheel constantly pulls to one side even when tire pressure is even in both sides.
BALANCING. When you're on the highway and your steering wheel is shaking at a certain speed and it becomes steady in slower or faster speeds, it is usually a wheel balancing problem. If it persists even after balancing, your tires or rims might be out of shape.
OVER-INFLATION. If the center tire tread is thinning while the other treads are thick, that probably means that the tires are usually over inflated.
ABUSE. While tires are made to take the max load of the vehicle and withstand the heat that compounds from the climate and heat from the road, tires and not indestructible. Rubber tires are no match to metal or concrete objects.
I have encountered some clients who just run their tires on anything because the suspension doesn't "feel bad". As I always illustrate to people, while the sheet metal and steel beams around the car can give you adequate protection in cases of accidental collision, one doesn't do ahead and drive onto a road barrier or concrete post.
We have encountered clients who come in with rims scratched and dented out of shape, tire wall with tear, and tell us they didn't hit anything just to insist on tire warranty

Leaving your house is a hard especially when you have a canine buddy living with you. Whenever you go to the mall or just hang around in the park, you would usually see other people walking alongside their dog and it peaks interest in you. Realizing that the mall you went to is actually a pet friendly zone and that you should have brought your own fur buddy too.
Well as the saying goes, there’s always a next time. You could bring your own pooch to the mall for your next errand or whatnot. However, do keep in mind that bringing your pet would require him or her to sit inside your car for a few minutes (or even hours due to the congested traffic of our country). As such, you better be prepared and keep him/her safe along the road. Here are some rules you need to keep in mind.
RULE 1: THE HARNESS
Ever experienced driving around the city, looking at your side and seeing a pooch in the front seat with his or her head sticking out the window enjoying the breeze of the wind with his or her tounge out? But did you also notice that not all of them have dog harness? We recommend strapping your dog with a harness to avoid accidents!
RULE 2: DON’T LEAVE THEM ALONE
Some countries are very strict with this rule and you may very well be surprised with a ticket violation coming your way. Never leave your pet alone in a car even if the aircon is turned on. If your pooch is a curious one, he or she might push switches or whatnots that might lead to big trouble!
RULE 3: DON’T STUFF THE FURBALL
You wouldn’t want to face the problem of having to clean up your dog’s business in your car, right? As such, limit food consumption at least 2 hours before the trip. Also, let your pooch relieve him or herself before going in the car.
RULE 4: TRAINING
Try to drive your dog on small distances first. See what that effect would cause him or her. Some dogs may have the problem of riding a car and may end up drooling all over the place. How about bringing them with you when you go around your village or when you drive along to the nearest convenience store? This will help them get used to the idea of being inside your vehicle.

Out of town trips with family and friends are indeed very exciting. From swimsuits to sunscreens, packed foods to toiletries, everything is listed and ready while not a thing should be missed before leaving. But when travelling with your car, it’s important to also do a thorough check to keep your ride on the road to spot any problems before they lead to a bad situation—a breakdown, in short. Here are simple maintenance checks that are essential and can work wonders.
Take the opportunity to fuel your tank especially if you’re driving to an unfamiliar place. Don’t wait for your fuel light to come on, make the initiative. Afterall, since you aren’t familiar with the area, you won’t know where you’ll see a gas station there.
Make sure to clean all your exterior lights and check for damaged or blown bulbs and cracks in the lenses. This way, you’re sure that you can see even through the night.
Before it lets you down, check if your battery is going a bit old and tired so you may replace it with a new car battery. Also for the engine, check the leaks and sound that indicate a problem in it. If you hear unusual noises like pinging, tapping, or knocking, better have a mechanic check on it.
Ensure that your brake system is properly working and aren’t weak before you hit off the road. This is super important because brakes are crucial even when you’re just driving in the city – what more if you’re driving out-of-town, right?
You wouldn’t want to experience you car overheating on the road, right? A simple check of water in the radiator will save you from this type of nightmare. After all, seeing smoke coming out of your car isn’t a pretty sight.
Don’t miss out on checking your tyres too! Damaged tyres and wheels are one of the breakdown causes so you may want to check on the tyre pressure of your car before leaving.

]]>We often hear that the Philippines is like a giant microwave. With the intense heat in the country, people can’t survive without an electric fan or an aircon. In fact, with the more affordable options in the market, it has become a necessity nowadays already.
Specific to cars, people usually can’t take it when they ride a car and there’s no aircon. Apart from being consumed with the heat from the outside, there’s also the additional pressure of being in a small space. Given this, people always try to make their aircon cold. If you aren’t familiar with these tried and tested hacks, then scroll down!
To keep air flowing freely, make sure that your cabin filter and fan belt are clean. Moreover, make sure that the refrigerant and coolant do not have any clogs.
Don’t Drive Too Fast
Whenever you accelerate, the power that fuels up your engine and your aircon is split. As such it will result to a lighter aircon. Make sure that you drive at a steady pace so that your power doesn’t have to divide the energy it provides.
Close Unused Vents
When driving alone, we recommend shutting off the unused vents. With this, the air will blow out faster and harder on the only vent that is opened.
Park in a Shaded Area
When a car is parked under a tree it will make the car cooler. Since it is not directly hit by the sun, which usually causes the slow cooling of the aircon because of the heat that is absorbed.

Last July 23, Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary, Mark Villar, announced the opening of the C5 Southlink. It’s now passable to those coming from Fort Bonifacio, C.P Garcia (C5), Taguig City, Paranaque City, Las Pinas City, and Pasay City.
The C-5 Southlink is a six-lane (three in either direction) expressway that will span a total of 7.7 kilometers, directly connecting the C-5/SLEX terminus to CAVITEX/R-1. In other words, in the near future, we will be able to drive unswervingly from Taguig all the way to the Coastal Road in far less time compared to before.
The C5 Southlink is the first part of the planned Cavitex C5 link expressway. It’s a Php 1.6 Billion partnership with Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation that was created to cut down the travel time from Paranaque to Taguig to 10 minutes. With this initiative, traffic in Sales interchange near Villamor Airbase is expected to reduce since it’s a 2.2 kilometer flyover that crosses over Skyway and SLEX,
Targeted to finish by 2021, the DPWH will have completed the entire 7.7-kilometers of the C-5 Southlink with Segment 2 (1.9-km R1 Interchange to Sucat Interchange), Segment 3A-2 (1.6-km Merville to E. Rodriguez), and Segment 3B (2.2-km Sucat to E-Rodriguez).
C5 South Link will give motorists from Parañaque, Las Piñas and Cavite direct access to C5. Imagine how convenient this is? Hopefully, this new project and the others on the line up, will help in decongesting traffic in the Metro.

According to safety inspections, drivers can completely keep themselves safe from injury only when the car moves at a speed of 5km/h. When the car is running at 70 km/h, based on the law of inertia force, the person sitting in car speeds as close to the speed of the vehicle itself. So, if there is a problem that causes the car to stop abruptly, passengers without seat belts will be thrown forward with the same speed. Car seat belts will help protecting you from this danger.
Studies have also shown that, for a 70 kg driver who has front impact in accident, he would be affected by a force of about 3 tons. This figure will be up to 9 tons if the vehicle is running at 80 km/h. It this case, should the owner ignore wearing the seatbelt, his survival chance is probably minimal.
Many countries applying mandatory fastened seatbelts have gained positive results. At present, traffic safety laws of all countries require mandatory car seatbelt fastened when driving. You have to pay a fine up to Php 5,000 for violating this regulation. Swiss statistics show that the number of fatalities in accidents has decreased three times after applying compulsory law for seat belt.
Just to give a quick refresher this is what Republic Act it belongs to and what the actual law is. Keep this in mind. A small gesture can save lives and save you from future fines.
Republic Act No. 8750
AN ACT REQUIRING THE MANDATORY COMPLIANCE BY MOTORISTS OF PRIVATE AND PUBLIC VEHICLES TO USE SEAT BELT DEVICES, AND REQUIRING VEHICLE MANUFACTURERS TO INSTALL SEAT BELT DEVICES IN ALL THEIR MANUFACTURED VEHICLES

An airbag is a vehicle occupant-restraint system using a bag designed to inflate extremely quickly, then quickly deflate during a collision. It consists of the airbag cushion, a flexible fabric bag, an inflation module, and an impact sensor. The purpose of the airbag is to provide a vehicle occupant a soft cushioning and restraint during a crash event. It can reduce injuries between the flailing occupant and the interior of the vehicle.
During a crash, the vehicle's crash sensors provide crucial information to the airbag electronic controller unit (ECU), including collision type, angle, and severity of impact. Using this information, the airbag ECU's crash algorithm determines if the crash event meets the criteria for deployment and triggers various firing circuits to deploy one or more airbag modules within the vehicle. Working as a supplemental restraint system to the vehicle's seat-belt systems, airbag module deployments are triggered through a pyrotechnic process that is designed to be used once. Newer side-impact airbag modules consist of compressed-air cylinders that are triggered in the event of a side-on vehicle impact.
Airbags are designed to keep people from getting major injuries in the event of a crash. As such, it is important to have them installed at all times. However, according to a study released by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), not all airbags can contribute to the safety of the passengers in car crash events.
Knee airbags are designed to lighten the impact of a car crash by keeping our legs steady to avoid suffering major leg injuries. Moreover, they are also expected to cut chest and abdomen wounds due to the passenger’s reduced lower body movement. However, in a study made by IIHS, where they looked at 400 frontal crash tests with belted passengers, they found out that though passengers had lower risk of head injuries, knee airbags still increased the risk of lower leg and right femur injuries. This result was further validated when they reviewed crash reports collated from 14 states where they found out that knee airbags were only able to successfully reduce overall risk injury by 0.5%.
Given this study from IIHS, would you still want to have knee airbags? Let us know your thoughts!

As usual Filipinos tend to decorate their cars with logos of famous and luxury car brands such as the classic brands known as Mercedes Benz, BMW, Ferrari, and Volvo. Unfortunately not all these stickers are readily available for the Filipino market.
Take the pinoy pride
Some of the Filipino car owners take the Filipino pride in a different level and want to express their nationalism and their love for the country usually pick the "Filipino pride" stickers. This type of sticker has various choices in which there is a perfect combination of three colors red, blue and yellow. This is usually designed in order to align with the Philippine symbols.
Family theme
As we all know Filipinos are known for their hospitality and their immense love for their families and consider it as a great pride. Don't get surprised when you notice numerous cars in the Philippines have white stickers on the rear window, showing all family members and their names. Sometimes it even includes extended relatives and maybe their pets.
Narcissist on board
This sticker is inspired by a fascination of the outer beauty of people. The study shows that 48% of Filipino men are narcissistic and claim that they are “sexy” or “gwapo”. You can find other versions of this funny concept such as “Baby on board” or “Sexy on board” and a lot more. Just know how creative the filipinos are to create such stickers.

]]>Having a hard time thinking about the age of your tires and don’t have the receipt from your last purchase? No worries -- this is pretty much a common issue and we can show you exactly how to find out.
How to find the DOT number on your tires
With the many things we think about on a daily, the date when we last changed our tires is probably one of the many things we forget. However, it’s an important piece of information to remember for safety purposes.
If you look thoroughly at the side of each of your tires, you’ll see a bunch of letters and numbers. While this may just look like a confusing jumble, it’s actually useful info. Look for a number that starts with the letters “DOT,” followed by a series of 10-12 characters.
Our tires actually have identification numbers found on the right sidewall. A simple check on this number can actually tell you the age of your tires. So, better check on all your tires to ensure that they are still in tiptop shape. Remember that tires that are less than 6 years old will give you top quality and performance.
Is it time to retire?
Now that you know the age of your tires, you might be surprised that it has been with you for several years already. It’s better safe than sorry, make sure to purchase new set of tires to keep you safe from the road.
4 Advantages that new tires give
Having a new set of tires will provide a cushion of safety for the next 65,000 to 100,000 miles of the vehicle's life (depending on the tire tread-wear rating).
The condition of your tires can drastically affect your gas. If you have a set of worn out tires with an uneven tread pattern, your gas mileage will suffer because your car must work harder to put its power to the ground.
The distance it takes for your car to come to a stop, or the speed at which you can enter a turn all depends on the quality of your tires.
Finally, the last benefit of a new set of tires is how they can make you feel. New tires with deeper functioning treads and designs are great for long trips because they provide the driver with a smoother ride. Also, new tires are less noisy when compared to worn out tires.

Definitely, there is no doubt that car alarms are an effective deterrent against theft and break-ins. This is mandatory for car manufacturers to install them upon the production of the vehicle. It’s also wise to check what current level of security your vehicle has.
This is why car alarms are built. A thief will always prefer to mark on easy targets. When you have a high-quality car alarm system installation, the signage that the installation specialist attaches to your vehicle in the form of a sticker with a warning logo. No thief would want to deal with a complicated alarm system that would continue to honk noisy alarms. If a smash-and-grab is planned for an item inside the car which is pretty much the regular scheme in our country, an alarm sounding will definitely scare off the thief or bring people to the scene. Loud and annoying sounds will catch the attention of the people surrounding your car.
Manual alarms aren’t just good for finding your car either, panic buttons, frequently installed on remote alarm transmitters, can also be used should you need to scare away an attacker or alert others to your situation.
For modern and updated vehicles, standardized pre-fitted factory car alarms are installed. But that’s not the case for your older car model, it may be targeted for theft because it’s less likely to have an upgraded alarm system. Or better yet, it may alarm but the sound is hardly felt. Upgrading—and getting a sticker saying you did—can make a big difference in regard to your chances of a break-in.
Nothing beats a peace of mind when you are away from your car. When you have a car alarm and immobilization unit installed in your vehicle by a professional, you can relax knowing the highest-grade technology is looking after your vehicle when you can’t.

BITTEN
Female mosquitoes are the ones that bite and crave blood, while male mosquitoes feed on nectar and sugar.
The dengue disease-carrying mosquitoes breed 50 to 200 meters where there are people and areas for incubation, unlike other mosquitoes which live in swamps, creeks, or mangroves.
Dengue fever is an acute mosquito-borne disease caused by the dengue virus. Transmitted through the bite of a dengue-infected mosquito, the virus causes high grade fevers, acute pain in the joints, rash, and headache.
The dengue mosquito is active and bite only during daytime. They are distinctive because of the white markings on its legs and body.
Mosquitoes are attracted to body odors, carbon dioxide, and heat emitted from humans and animals.
BUG OFF
Once the rainy season begins, take steps to prevent mosquito bites. If you're a mosquito magnet use these tips to protect yourself.
Wear long pants and sleeves. When traveling to swamp areas, creeks, rivers, bush lands, or mangroves, tuck shirts in and pant legs into socks.
Sleep under bed nets or places that are screened, if not sleeping in an air-conditioned room.
Use a bug spray or insect repellant and apply as needed or according to package instructions.
Place or spray anti-mosquito or insect repellants near possible entry way like windows and doors.
TERMINATE GROUND ZERO
Eliminate all accumulating stagnant water in your area which are potential breeding ground for mosquitoes.
Cover all water containers, wells, storage tanks tightly.
Do not block/clog drains.
_______________
One of the natural proven and effective way to repel mosquitoes is the use of citronella oil. It is an essential oil obtained from the Asian grass plant known as Cymbopogon nardus which also belong to the lemongrass family. It has been used for centuries for its antiseptic, antimicrobial, and antifungal properties.
Studies have shown that it can repel the Aedes aegypti or dengue-carrying mosquito which causes the spread of the dangerous dengue fever. Use of repellants with citronella as the active ingredient wards of the bugs and keep them away for at least 30 minutes to an hour.
Try: Blade Citronella Mosquito Repellant comes in an air freshener type container filled with citronella scented fiber pads. Put this anywhere in the car, office, home, or bathroom and fill the area with the aroma of citronella to ward off mosquitoes. It lasts up to 60 days
It’s a surprise how becoming an experienced driver, can teach you cool things that you can apply in your life more than the driving itself. Here are some of the lessons you can get from driving that can help make your life be progressive and more meaningful:
Functionality is everything.
When you set your goals, you go for the coolest car you know that is available. In the first months of getting it, you’ll feel more fulfilled because everyone is noticing you. Eventually, it will pass. A new and cooler one will defeat the fame of it. You, then, start questioning yourself if the costs in purchasing such enhancements are worth it. You’ll realize that at the end of the day, it is all cars and however it looks… it will take you to the destination you want to get to. That’s why you have to double check on what you can afford, and what’s enough for you. If it looks simple, but can take you to wherever you want to go or can bring your whole family together in one destination, maybe that’s it because functionality weighs more that appearance.
Have a game plan on getting to your destination.
It is fun to drive off for a road trip, and just be spontaneous. However this is not wise to be done all the time. If you really want to get to a specific destination, you should plan it, and consider every aspect on how you’ll be able to get there. Check on the navigations to know where you can pause and take a break. Know all the possibilities and which way to best go. All of it that can be done in planning, do it because it really pays to be prepared. In this way, you don’t need to waste your time making a wrong move that can be prevented.
Life is worth living.
There are, honestly, a lot of accidents happening on the road day by day. It may have been just really an accident, or impatient and raging drivers may cause it. Do yourself a favor, and don’t be one of them. Life is too short to die because of being too confident on your skills, or too entitled on the road. Know your life’s worth, and make sure you’ll live it the most and the longer that you can.

Hazard lights: When not to use them
In case of bad weather, there are no existing provisions for using your hazard lights when driving through inclement weather like fog and rain that obscures normal visibility; using your headlights would be a better alternative. If that isn’t enough, you can switch on your auxiliary lights such as fog lamps.
Using hazards in low visibility situations will only confuse other motorists, because it will be difficult for them to tell whether you're about to make a turn or not since you can't use your turn signals with the hazards engaged. We suggest that you use your signal lights, pull over to the curb, park in a safe spot and wait for the weather to clear up. Besides, if visibility is particularly bad anyway, the you shouldn't be venturing out in the first place.
Parking illegally
Flashing hazard lights in a no loading zone or if you are used to be the go-to move of certain drivers who would stop at random areas to park or wait, and it's been done so often to the point of being a cliché. It can be infuriating for other motorists whose lane is obstructed.
Hazard lights are not supposed to be used to mark a certain spot as your territory where you can park as you please; if anything, using them for that purpose just tells other drivers that you lack etiquette and manners. Just find a proper spot to stop and park; that way, you won't need to obstruct anyone else, whether vehicular or pedestrian traffic. .

]]>People choose the color of their car based on different factors: their favorite colors, their mood that day when they went at car dealerships, or maybe the color of the car was dictated by the price of the most affordable car.
In this article, we’ll give you some solid tips on how to take care of white car, but before that, let’s explore some of the reasons why people choose a white car, some of the challenges of owning a white care, and then what you can do to help make your white car look clean and nice!
No matter the reason, white cars are the most sold worldwide! There’s a reason for that.
It ranks within the top three car colors for ease of maintenance. You would expect a white car to be a dust, dirt, and grime magnet like a white shirt or a white piece of paper. But no. Actually, it can hide dirt and grime pretty well.
White, as a color, also makes a car look larger. Contrast that with black, which tends to make a car look slim. (That’s the same principle in fashion.) White does not absorb a lot of heat, and helps cool your car on hot summer days.
And if you go deeper, white is a minimalist color, and to be honest, it can be quite boring. But if you’re the practical type of person who doesn’t want to spend lots of time and money detailing your car, then white is almost perfect!
Make no mistake, though, white car can also be tough to maintain.
If it rains, or if you pass by roads with puddles and mud, make no mistake about it–your white car will show the grime kicked up by your tires. In fact, it is the car color that will show the most hard-hitting grime.
If a bird poops on your car, or if you parked under a tree and the sap falls on your car, they will show like pimples on a teenager’s face.
Scratches will also be very noticeable. If you don’t take care of your car’s exterior regularly, it can be the focal point for dirt and rust. It will be very noticeable!
Because a white car can conceal dirt and grime well, it can make you lazy!
Don’t be that guy or gal who shows up at the office parking with the dirtiest white car. It’s not a very good sight and it will reflect on you.
Over time, white paint will turn yellow and chalky because of oxidation and the impact of the sun. That’s why you really need to protect your car paint with the right care and products.
How to Take Care of White Car
First off, have your car washed thoroughly. After having it washed, get the following products, which you will need for the upcoming steps.
A white car receives as much contamination as any other car they are just more difficult to spot. So after washing it thoroughly, check every panel of the body for swirls, and dirt that need to be dealt with. It would be better to park in a shade, or inside your garage. If you do it inside your garage, having a work light will help you spot those areas more easily. When you’re a newbie, it may be more difficult to do this, but as you get more practice, you’ll soon learn how to spot those dirt.
Once you identified the dirt you need to remove from your car, get a Wash & Wax solution.
The wash & wax will not remove all contaminants from the car’s coat. That is where claying comes in. Get the clay and prepare for some rubbing action.
This step will apply a protective layer on your car. It’s like a second skin or a force field if you will.
If you want long-lasting protection for your car, apply a white wax.
By applying wax, you will also bring out the brightness of your car’s white coat. Here’s how to do it:

In attendance during the highly charged event were Lamborghini Manila executives led by Robert Coyiuto Jr. PGA Cars chairman, Roberto Coyiuto 3rd, Lamborghini Manila president and chief executive officer, and Davide Sfrecola, Lamborghini area manager for Southeast Asia.
“The Lamborghini Urus is a model that’s born out of Lamborghini’s vision to continually defy boundaries and with it, the desire to create the world’s first super SUV. We are very proud to bring this groundbreaking car to the Philippines,” said Roberto Coyiuto 3rd.
“The Lamborghini Urus is a visionary approach to creating a Lamborghini around the concept of the most versatile car, the SUV. The Urus elevates the SUV to a level not previously possible, the Super Sport Utility Vehicle. It has become a game changer in the luxury arena in terms of performance, driving dynamics as well as unparalleled design, luxury and daily usability,” added Sfrecola, who also revealed that the design inspiration for the Urus was the Lamborghini Countach and the LM002.
With a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine, delivering 650 hp at 6,000 rpm, maximum 6,800 rpm, and 850 Nm of maximum torque already at 2,250 rpm, the Urus is the end result of years of research and development. “The Lamborghini DNA is written through it and the it has the best of what Lamborghini has to offer in terms of design and engineering,” said Sfrecola. With 162.7 hp-per-liter, the Urus claims one of the highest specific power outputs in its class and the best weight-to-power ratio at 3.38 kilogram-per-hp. It accelerates from 0-100 kph in 3.6 seconds, 0-200 kph in 12.8 seconds, and boasts a top speed of 305 kph.
The Urus has a cutting-edge, distinct and streamlined design with multiple souls: sporty, elegant and off-road. Its muscular surfaces make it appear strong and highly-athletic, while the mixed tires allow a luxury super sports car look. All the surfaces were designed with a clear attention to functionality. Lamborghini details and iconic shapes can be immediately recognized at first glance, such as the “Y” and the hexagon elements, the front bonnet with center peak and the cross lines on rear door. The extreme proportions and the single silhouette line make Urus a real Lamborghini. Furthermore, its proportions are unique since it is the lowest SUV in its class. Urus design took inspiration from the heritage of the LM002 in regard to the power dome showing the position of the engine and the significant diagonal lines, while the frameless doors recall the iconic Marcello Gandini line.
Italian craftsmanship
Truly, luxurious Italian craftsmanship meets state-of-the-art technology in the Lamborghini Urus interior. The aeronautic designed and the driver-oriented instrument concept with three TFT screens (each one for the instruments, infotainment and comfort functions, including virtual keyboard feature with hand-writing recognition) put the driver’s needs at the forefront and make the overall experience more comfortable and enjoyable. The dashboard architecture follows the “Y” theme inspired by iconic Lamborghini models. The interior can be customized to be more elegant or sporty, through the selection of different kinds of colors and materials, such as natural leather, Alcantara, wood, aluminum or carbon — with the option for further sophistication on select materials through contrast stitching or Q-citura. Urus features the largest range of options ever presented in a Lamborghini, with multiple souls converging to create a unique vehicle. Furthermore, Lamborghini Urus is the first five-seater super sports car.
The Urus Super SUV is built by a dedicated assembly line that integrates new production technologies to support workers in assembly and maintenance activities, one of these being the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for which Lamborghini was awarded the Gold Winner title of the prestigious SAP Quality Awards in the Business Transformation category. This integrated production management system makes it possible to organize the quality of the product and the related process up to its maintenance.
The new Lamborghini Urus was also named MVP SUV of Robb Report’s Best of the Best 2018 awards. The American luxury-lifestyle magazine describes this super SUV as a “consummate crossover” with the combined elements of the Lamborghini Huracán Performante and Aventador S with its own innovative engineering.

The Hyundai Veloster is a rare find in the roads of the Philippines. But for those who are pretty much familiar with it, our beloved Hyundai Veloster N is going electric.
Hyundai, the South Korean automotive brand has revealed its first-ever electric race car at the Frankfurt Motor Show last September 10, 2019, and everyone who attended is stoked and awed to see this thing on the race track soon.
The all-electric Veloster N is designed to compete in the brand new ETCR Championship, which is kicking off its first-ever season next year, in 2020. It is a series dedicated to electric touring cars—the details on the whole thing itself are sparse but forthcoming. Everyone is pretty much excited for this event.
Which is pretty similar to the Veloster N. Its press release talks a lot about the design of the new electric racer, but it doesn’t get into any essential details about all its specs and inclusions just yet.

If you’re a car enthusiast, then chances are you’ve dreamed about having a lowered car. From seeing them in car movies to seeing them in actual car races or even on a day-to-day basis, we’re sure we all find it super cool to have a lowered car. It just looks sleek and dope, don’t you think? However, though a lowered car may look nice, some of us are pretty wary because of a few cons that are attached to this car modification. Don’t believe us? Then check out our list below.
Inconvenience
When you live in the Metro, you always need to be on the look out for floods. Also, it’s inconvenient because when you have a flat tire, the standard jack can’t be used on it.
Let’s not forget to mention the hassle you receive from simply passing through high established humps along the road where you would need to slowly position your car just to get by.
Causes damage to car parts
If you get it done by a non-professional, they might lower your car too much. And when it’s lowered too much, then chances are you’ll be ruining some of your car’s parts. Moreover, it can also result to premature tire wear, which will be super expensive in the long run.
Uncomfortable
Yup, if your car is too low then you’ll get to feel every vibration there is. Though it might be exciting at first, it’s actually not a nice feeling in the long run.
It can tamper your warranty
If your car is still new, then chances are it’s still under warranty. Modifying your car can result to voiding your warranty. So, better read the documents you signed when you bought your car to check.

After arriving mid-morning at the newly refurbished airport at Puerto Princesa, the Toyota Roadtrek convoy proceeded to a nearby resort for the launch of the refreshed Toyota Avanza. The 2019 version of Toyota’s popular people mover gets an exterior overhaul. Visible changes are visible in the front fascia of the Avanza, which includes a new split-type LED headlamp clusters that compliments the character lines of the hood and the body lines that extends up to the rear end. Front fog lamps located the lower corner of the front bumpers complete the sporty look of this refreshed variant.
The rear of the Avanza gets a spoiler with LED brake strips, fin-type antenna and tail light extenders that complete the modern look of the 2019 variant.
Toyota also upgraded the interiors starting with a 6.8-inch capacitive touch panel display infotainment system that is similar to the RAV4 and the Camry. According to Tini Arevalo, first vice president of TMP, the multimedia console is enhanced with high resolution K2 technology audio that enables two phones hands-Free and five phones music streaming capabilities. The layout enables the Avanza to comfortably accommodate seven adults with ease and has a spacious cargo trunk.
“The interior design were patterned after versatility and practicality which is ideal for everyday use,” added Arevalo.
Fans of the Avanza can choose from two versions, the Veloz G that is powered by a 103-hp 1.5-liter engine or the E and J variant that have the 1.3-liter, 95-hp engine. It is available in both manual and automatic transmission. Price of the refreshed Avanza starts at P731,000.
The Roadtrek proper
After the media launch of the Avanza, the media participants then proceeded with the driving component of the Roadtrek, with the first stopover at the Toyota’s dealership in Puerto Princesa. Toyota prepared its fleet for the media to use throughout the road trip, from its best-selling Vios, RAV4, Camry and the all-new Hi-Ace. With strategic stops and accompanying challenges along the route, participants gradually snaked their way through the island of Palawan up to the jump-off point in the oldest town of Palawan, Taytay.
The rest of the Roadtrek event was spent in typical Toyota fashion, sight-seeing by way of a boat ride, a sumptuous seafood lunch at an island, snorkeling, plus other activities that aimed to pamper and relax our tired bodies from the previous day of physically challenging games and a day of driving.
The Toyota Roadtrek was first held 15 years ago as an avenue to promote goodwill and to celebrate friendships with the country’s most dominant automotive brand and fellow motoring scribes. The question now is, what lies ahead for the next Roadtrek?

]]>If both outer treads are thinning out while the center part is thick, that is indicative that your tires are usually under inflated.

As Millennials age into a powerful demographic of young adults nowadays, their older coleagues, managers, and friendly neighbors have begun to discuss how this new generation is different from all others that came before them. We all know how technology driven and reliant they are, they prefer text communication to speaking, and how they expect more from their employers. The fact of the matter is that even the youngest millennials are now legal drivers and are joining the rest of the experienced road driving world out on the roads and their driving habits are now everyone's worry.
Using Devices while driving
The millennial attraction for technology and mobile communication doesn't stop when they get behind the wheel. You read that right, despite all the warnings about using gadgets while driving, millennials are notorious for using navigation devices such Waze and Google Maps with ease but they also have a terrible reputation for the risky behaviors of talking, watching movies, scrolling their social media accounts and texting while driving. Many of them learned this behavior from their busy boomer parents. However, while boomers vary wildly in device adaptability, it's a rare millennial that drives without mounted phone or tablet handy.
Ride Sharing is IN
It has slowly become a culture of ride sharing, carpooling and public transportation. There are even a lot of social media and instant messaging group chats that caters to this market. In many cases, if you see a Millennial on the road with one or more passengers, there's a good chance they're earning a little extra money to lessen their transportation expense and trying to complete gig missions quickly. This could easily be another reason our youngest drivers are known for moving quickly.
Over speeding?
Yes, we all know what YOLO (You Only Live Once) stands for. Speeding has been an extensive problem given the overconfident motorists of every generation. From mid-life crisis hot rods to newly received license drivers. Filipinos as you know loves to drive fast. So why is it that Millennials have such bad reputation for racing down the highways or running red lights in comparison to previous generations? Older people, when pulled over or asked about their speeding, often display guilt and knowledge that what they did was wrong. Millennials, on the other hand, usually consider speeding to be a fact of life or rather having a “nagmamadali ako kasi late na ako” mentality.

]]>Of course, the first step is to op open the hood. Before you get to the headlight, you will first have to get access to it. To do this, find the hood release switch next to the driver’s switch. Tug this with your finger to unlock the hood. After tugging the switch, go to the hood and lift it up. You’re supposed to find a piece of metal rod folded down under the hood. This is supposed to hold your hood up while you’re working. Set the hood on this rod.
Find the hood release switch next to the driver’s switch.
You need to first disconnect the battery. Although electrical accidents in vehicles are rare, that doesn’t mean it can’t happen. It’s always better to be sure.
First, locate the battery. Then, use a socket wrench and loosen the nut on the battery’s negative terminal. Once you have the nut lose, pull the black cable to remove it from the battery. Put this at the side of the battery. Make sure this does not touch the terminal or the car. The positive terminal can be left as it is.
These are usually for design purposes but they cover the headlights so you will have to remove them. They are held in place with plastic clips that you will have to unlatch. Be careful when removing them because the plastic may be thin and brittle and you may cause further damage.
If you break the clips off, you can usually get a replacement. These are available at auto-supplies stores and are fairly affordable.
The headlight’s wire pigtail is the plug where all the multi-colored wires can be seen. It is easy to unlatch or remove this by pressing on the small plastic release on the wire. Remember to keep the pressure on the clip as you disconnect it. Be careful not to tug the pigtail wire or you may break it. After you unplug it, look at the wires inside the plug. Try to notice if it has burn marks or as a burnt odor. If it does, there may be a problem with your car’s electrical system.
Once you gained access to your headlight, twist it and tug it backward. The headlight should be twisted in a counter-clockwise direction to release it safely. If you can’t seem to remove the bulb, don’t force it. You may end up damaging your vehicle or hurt yourself. Instead, take a step back and refer to your vehicle’s manual. It is the best reference in case you don’t know what to do.
Once you gained access to your headlight, twist it and tug it backward
Now that your headlight is empty, it’s time to buy a replacement. You can opt to buy two bulbs and replace both headlights even though only one is broken. This will make sure that your headlights are uniformed.
This is when all details about your vehicle is needed. Do not even attempt to miss anything out. When buying a light bulb, inform the attendant about what model, make and year your car is. This will make sure that the bulb you receive is 100 percent compatible with your car.
Carefully remove the light bulb out of the box without making contact with your hands. The oil produced by your skin can damage modern types of light bulbs. That’s why it’s the best to top to wear safety gloves while doing this.
The broken headlights can be extremely dangerous
If you happen to accidentally touch the light bulb, you can clean it with rubbing alcohol. Do not pour the alcohol directly onto the bulb. Take a clean rag or cotton. Dampen this with the rubbing alcohol. Now, gently wipe the bulb to remove the oil from your fingers. This will prolong the service life of the bulb.
If you don’t have a clean pair of gloves, cover your hands with a rag. This will let you touch the bulb without having to touch it directly with your hands. Remember to let your light bulb dry first before doing the next steps.
Slide the new light bulb where you removed the old one. After that, twist the bulb in a clockwise direction to keep it in place. Be very careful not to drop the bulb or the plastic casing. You will usually need to turn the new bulb a quarter way around to secure it in place.
Once you have placed the new bulb, just repeat the steps in reverse.
