Hyundai unveils its fabulous four

Hyundai Asia Resources Inc. (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai vehicles in the country, celebrated Christmas and highlighted the company’s achievements this year with a grand party last December 6 at the SMX Convention Center of the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City.

Dubbed as the “Runway to the Future,” the event had an airline theme with ushers dressed as airline stewardess, as HARI unveiled its biggest surprise for the evening, the launching of four new models: the Grand Starex Urban, the Ioniq Hybrid, the face-lifted Tuscon SUV and the star of the night, the best-selling compact car, the all-new Accent.

According to HARI marketing guru Luigi Ignacio, “Runway to the Future” embodies the essence of Hyundai’s new Modern Premium, redefined by “Quality Time,” the new normal in mobility. “It’s not just the time one spends from moving from point A to point B, but the liberating ease of personalized, seamless and inspiring mobility experience—from in-vehicle to out- of-vehicle experience—precious moments well spent in enhancing people’s everyday lives. It also epitomizes HARI’s vision for 2019: to make the Hyundai brand soar even higher by giving the Filipino people a more heightened driving experience,” explained Ignacio.

Spearheading the night’s festivities was HARI’s dragon lady, Ma. Fe Perez Agudo, who shared the festive night with special guests from the private sector, the media, bank representatives and Hyundai’s strong 42-dealer principals in attendance.

Considered as the flagship in Hyundai’s stable, the Hyundai Grand Starex Urban’s progressive refinements for the past 17 years convey HARI’s commitment to bringing delight to Filipino families. This all-new version of the Starex offers luxurious comfort, unparalleled craftsmanship in a modern, premium style.

Staying as ignited as ever, the refreshed Tucson boasts of upgrades from the inside and out, with the dynamic crossover joining the ranks of the Sante Fe and the futuristic looking Kona in bearing the mark of Hyundai’s SUV bloodline.

Upfront during the event was the uniquely designed Ioniq Hybrid, whose design features reflect Hyundai’s Visual Aero design as evidenced by the car’s dynamic looks visibly inspired by the beauty of flowing air. The Ioniq Hybrid has earned a reputation for its state-of-the-art technology in terms of its frugal fuel economy and environment friendly emissions.

The all-new Starex has evolved into a more luxurious and comfortable people mover.

Last to be unveiled was the star of the show, HARI’s best-selling sedan, the Accent, whose fuel efficiency and design philosophy warmed the hearts of the Filipino consumers. HARI will offer the Accent in both gasoline and diesel versions, and the new sleek look will definitely entice the domestic market.

The Ioniq Hybrid is Hyundai’s contribution for cleaner emissions.
