Three things people expect you to do if you ride shotgun

Calling shotgun usually means having more space to yourself. After all, you won’t have to be sandwiched between two other people. But having this advantage also means having to carry a few other responsibilities.

Navigate

You’re expected to be the designated navigator if you sit at the front. Honestly, compared to the ones seated at the back, it’s easier for you to tell the driver where the next right turn is.

DJ

All road trips need a music playlist. Make sure to upgrade your head unit with Blade’s selection of products but really, not all songs we put in our playlist is perfect for our mood. Since apart from the driver, you’re the one who’s closest to the audio jack, better be prepared to mix and match genres to keep the driver entertained if you ride shotgun.

Help keep the driver alert

It’s usually up to you to keep the driver awake. It’s a lonely feeling having to drive a few kilometers on SLEX or NLEX then finding all the passengers asleep. So, as the resident shotgun passenger, don’t take a nap. Keep the driver amused- or better yet, keep everyone entertained!
